Dr. Vemulapalli was born in Michigan and, knowing that she wanted to pursue a career in medicine, went to medical school after completing two years of undergraduate courses. She received her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean and finished her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. Dr. Vemulapalli received the award for “Resident Teacher of the Year” during each of her four years of residency.
Dr. Vemulapalli moved to California with her husband who also works in the Bay Area. They are parents to three beautiful daughters, all of whom were delivered at John Muir Hospital. Her experience as a patient was wonderful and prompted her desire to work at John Muir Hospital and provide the same experience to others. Dr. Vemulapalli started working at John Muir in 2012 and in 2013, she received the “Doc the Rocks” award which is given by the Labor and Delivery staff to a physician who exemplifies teamwork and collaboration.

The only reason I had to wait is that the doctor had been called in to perform a C-Section. The nurse who brought me to my room was very friendly and let me know the status.
The doctor was GREAT. I felt totally at ease from the moment she came into the room. I never felt rushed, she explained everything to me. She even let me know that if I did have to schedule a procedure to take care of a polyp, she would come in early or at lunch because she knows that I work.
I am 50 years old and she is by far the BEST obgyn I have ever been to.

Dr. V is very friendly and she made me feel comfortable. I enjoyed my visit with her, which is odd bc i usually leave and not care. I had recommended my co-worker to her as soon as I left my appointment. That's how much I was impressed by her professionalism and service.

I moved to california and after trying other doctors, I was lucky enough to find Dr. Vemulapalli at her old practice. Her skills exceed my expectations. She was amazing with my delivery, and also with prenatal care. Now that she opened a new practice I did not think twice to follow her.

Love Dr. V. I love the care and time she takes with me. You know that she truly cares. By far the best Dr. I have ever had. I would follow her to any office. Office staff is really friendly and you can tell has a great relationship with the physians.
