She was very reassuring and I think that she will continue to help me make good progress to reduce unwanted symptoms and monitor my progress closely. Mahnaz Momeni, M.D., is Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at The George Washington University School of Medicine. She is also a subject matter expert in application of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. She is a co-founder of Arthritis and Rheumatology Clinical Center of Northern Virginia.
She served as a full- time faculty from 2005 to 2015 in Division of Rheumatology at The George Washington University.
While treating patients at GW Medical Center, Dr. Momeni directed the Musculoskeletal Ultrasound laboratory in Rheumatology Division and implemented MSK ultrasound curriculum in the rheumatology fellowship program. In addition, she was a coordinator of Rheumatology ICM (Introduction to Clinical Medicine) course for Medical Students at the GWU.
She practiced medicine as an internist at GWH and VA Hospital Emergency Room in Washington DC for years before starting rheumatology Fellowship program.
She has served on different committees of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) contributing to develop Musculoskeletal Ultrasound certification for the first time in the United States. She has lectured nationally and internationally on this topic. She is among the first physicians in the country to achieve certification from the American College of Rheumatology in Rheumatologic Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography (RhMSUS).
She completed her Fellowship training in Rheumatic Diseases at the George Washington University in 2005. Internal Medicine Internship and Residency was served at the Howard University School of Medicine.
Dr. Momeni is Board Certified in Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. She is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and a member of the Rheumatism Society of the District of Columbia.

The reception staff were great! They were very professional and efficient. The doctor's assistants were also very polite and professional.
The doctor was professional but very quick. I was a new patient with abnormal blood work. I was referred there by PCP. The physician did educate me on false positive and developed a plan to retest and send me for additional test.
She didn't ask about my PMH, lifestyle or additional information. She also sent me or a celiac blood panel but failed to give me directions. I was told to go gluten free and have the test completed. I did as I was directed, however I was informed by PCP at follow up, I should have continued to eat gluten and have the test done. The test was not conclusive as I had already been GF for 4 days.
The appointment was rushed. They also had my results for a over week, before I was called about any results. I have elected to continue my care elsewhere. I had to call the office twice to get any updated information.

Dr. Moment was very dismissive of my concerns. I feel that she rushed the appointment and didn’t even bother to explain the treatment plan which SHE suggested but didn’t even work for my ailment. ?????? so disappointed especially after driving an hour away. I will never go back to her office. What a waste of time.
