In addition, her brother-in-law is a cardiologist in Dallas, TX. Currently, Dr. Patel’s focus is Retinal Surgery (medical and surgical retinal diseases) at Vision Quest. She is also an experienced Refractive (LASIK/PRK) and Cataract Surgeon. Dr. Patel specializes in diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, ocular (eye) trauma, and many other diseases of the retina. She has published research in macular holes and diabetic retinopathy. She has also been a speaker at the American Society of Retina Specialists, as well as other academic meetings. She is well loved by her patients for her kindness and compassion, as well as her experience and skill. Dr Patel utilizes the latest technology in lasers and other surgical procedures for the benefit of her patients.
