More about Dr. Marc Colton, MD
Dr. Marc Colton received his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in 1989. He completed his general surgery and urology training at Temple University Hospital and urologic oncology training at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. Dr. Colton has been in practice in Morris County since 1995. In 1997 he started Morris Urology and remains the managing partner. Dr. Colton is certified by the American Board of Urology.
In 2003 Dr. Colton performed the first minimally invasive laparoscopic radical nephrectomy at Saint Clares Hospital. This surgical procedure remains the standard of care in which kidney tumors are managed. Also, in 2003 Dr Colton performed the first Greenlight laser vaporizaton of the prostate in the State of New Jersey. He has lectured and trained other physicians in this minimally invasive procedure that has virtually replaced more invasive procedures in managing patients with symptomatic benign prostatic hypertrophy. In 2007, Dr. Colton was instrumental in bringing robotic technology to Saint Clares Hospitals.
Dr. Colton has been named annually in Castle Connolly Top Doctors, New York Metro Area since 1999, and was selected for "Top Docs" in the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 issues of Inside Jersey magazine as well as the 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2008 issues of New Jersey Monthly magazine. Dr Colton is also listed as one of the 297 Top Cancer Doctors in the July 2012 edition of Inside Jersey.
Dr. Colton has lectured and shared his expertise on prostate health and prostate cancer awareness throughout the community and at local companies. This Dr. is very experienced. I have been going to him for years. One of the best surgeons I have ever met. Great sense of humor as well. Wouldn't trust my health care with anyone else.
