Marc Lay, O.D., a Lawrenceville native, completed his Doctor of Optometry at the State University of New York College of Optometry in 2010, where he gained an extensive amount of training through volunteer and internship work. Prior to his residency, Dr. Lay had the privilege of traveling to Lima, Peru with the Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH) organization that provides routine eye care to low income families in the Caribbean, Central and South America. Dr. Lay completed impressive internships following his volunteer work at the SUNY College of Optometry, specializing in ocular disease and vision therapy services which concentrated on managing and treating eye diseases and conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. Dr. Lay continued on to complete his residency in 2011 at the Salisbury Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina, specializing in advanced low vision and ocular disease management.
Dr. Lay is ocular disease trained and continues professional education through industry conferences as a licensed optometrist in Georgia. He also specializes in the fitting of therapeutic contact lenses for the management of keratoconus and other corneal disorders.
