Dr. Menkowitz is a fellowship trained, board certified Orthopaedic spine surgeon who specializes in the operative and non-operative treatment of adult and pediatric spinal disorders.Dr. Menkowitz completed his spine surgery fellowship at The New York Spine Institute at Beth Israel. Upon completion of his fellowship, he moved back to Monmouth County New Jersey and joined another fellowship trained spine surgeon. Together they created The Center for The functional Restoration of the Spine. He was also promptly appointed to the academic committee of the Monmouth Orthopaedic Surgery program. He is also an assistant professor at Drexel School of Medicine.
Dr. Menkowitz has co authored several articles pertaining to spinal surgery and which has been presented at international meetings. His areas of expertise include the operative and non-operative treatment of adult and pediatric spinal deformity, disc herniations, degenerative conditions of the spine, tumors, and sports related injuries.

Took 5 days to get appointment after having to go to ER with pain. In the office I was in terrific pain and had to wait over an hour to get into the office and then I sat for another 15-20 minutes. Had a short exam and doc had not read my history which I gave at the front desk and then had to fumble through the file to find it. Send me for an xr and then said I had to go for MRI and then follow up appoint a few days after that. I may not have horrible diagnosis but I did not feel that the compassion was there for the pain. Won't see him again for another 5 days which means I sit at home in pain. 8/8/15 DM
