He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of both the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Marc Sanders is a recognized leader in cataract and refractive surgery. Among the first surgeons to perform laser vision correction over fifteen years ago, Dr. Sanders has stayed at the forefront of this rapidly changing field. He was one of the first surgeons to offer new techniques, such as femtosecond all-laser LASIK, custom wavefront optimized LASIK, refractive lens exchange, laser-assisted cataract surgery with the LenSx and Catalys lasers, and presbyopic intraocular lenses. Dr. Sanders is a part-time professor at Baylor College of Medicine where he teaches surgeons in training. Committed to education and research, Dr. Sanders has published articles in the leading ophthalmic journals and has participated in clinical trials.
Dr. Sanders also performs pterygium excisions, chalazion excisions, and other minor procedures.
