About Dr. Shail Gajjar

Dr. Shail Gajjar is a Therapeutic and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist at The Mann Eye Institute who grew up in the DFW and Houston area. He completed his Bachelor's in Biology at the University of Texas at San Antonio, and then received both his Doctor of Optometry and Master of Science in Physiological Optics from the University of Houston. Dr. Gajjar trained in a variety of different clinics and grew a passion for cornea and contact lenses, myopia management, and ocular disease. This passion led him to Columbus, Ohio, where he completed an ocular disease residency with an emphasis in cornea and contact lenses at Columbus Ophthalmology Associates. Dr. Gajjar believes in full scope, empathetic, evidence-based care for the pediatric and geriatric population. He enjoys managing anterior and posterior ocular disease, pre- and post-operative care, and fitting specialty contact lenses. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Gajjar loves exploring the outdoors, reading, or watching/playing basketball. He looks forward to taking care of you in clinic.
