Dr. Margie Houston is an audiologist treating patients in the Escondido and greater California areas. Her goal is to provide the best possible individual care with the best technology, keeping both the patients’ desires and budget in mind. At her office, patients receive care directly from her and are offered a 45-day guarantee for their hearing aids. Dr. Houston is also a member of both the American Academy of Audiology and the California Academy of Audiology.
Originally from San Diego, Dr. Houston pursued her audiological education at A.T. Still University. She continued her education through an internship at the V.A. Medical Center. At George Washington University, Dr. Houston completed her master’s degree. She now attends annual conferences through both the American Academy of Audiology and the California Academy of Audiology, and pursues continuing education for her audiology license and license to dispense hearing aids.
Patients visiting Dr. Houston can receive a full range of care for hearing issues. Care begins with a free-of-charge diagnostic hearing evaluation, which determines the type and degree of hearing loss. Further diagnostic tests available include otoscopy, tympanometry, and Real Ear Measures. Both sound plugs and hearing aids are prescribed to fit each patient’s individual need. When she is not treating patients, Dr. Houston enjoys spending time with her husband, Bob, and their children, Sarah and Kenny.
