While at UCSF Fresno, he had opportunity to improve his Spanish speaking fluency with the many Spanish-speaking patients he treated while working in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. He remains conversational in Spanish and enjoys speaking with others in Spanish when the opportunity arises. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He maintains an active medical license in California. Outside of medicine, Dr. Macauley enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle. A dedicated marathon runner, he completed the Boston Marathon in 2023 alongside his wife and has achieved a personal best marathon time of 3:07 at California International Marathon in 2022. He loves sharing outdoor adventures with his wife and children, reinforcing his belief in the importance of balance, movement, and family wellness — values he brings into his patient care every day.
