Dr. Marilyn Mehlmauer is a board-certified dermatologist who focuses her practice on general dermatology, cosmetic surgery, and skin cancer diagnosis and surgery. She is also a board-certified dermatopathologist, which means you can have your biopsy slides read and a diagnosis rendered, all at our state-of-the-art, onsite surgical facility. Selected by her peers in the medical field, Dr. Mehlmauer is listed as a “Top Doctor” in The Essential Guide to Top Doctors and Los Angeles Magazine, and was voted one of the “Best Doctors in America” for 2005-2006.
Dr. Mehlmauer graduated from the University of Southern California School of Medicine in 1975, and went on to teach dermatology there for 10 years. She then went into solo practice in Pasadena in 1991, while she was also on staff at Huntington Hospital. Dr. Mehlmauer is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Dermapathology, and is a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Mehlmauer has also extensively researched the use of Targretin® capsules for the treatment of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL).
As director of the Congress Cosmetic Medical Corp., Dr. Mehlmauer enjoys educating patients on the many cosmetic treatments she provides and which options are appropriate for them. Patients benefit from her genuine caring and enthusiasm. Prior to any procedure, Dr. Mehlmauer has an in-depth discussion with her patients, answering all of their questions and addressing any concerns they might have. Her skill and grace in the operating room are among the reasons she was nominated “Top Doctor.”
Practice will courtesy bill for any PPO but is only in network with Anthem Blue Cross and Medicare.
