Also, it is not immediately clear when you walk into the building where the office is located. It’s on the second floor to the left of the elevators when getting off. Otherwise, I am very happy with the office, doctor, and staff.”

About Lydia Amador
Lydia Amador, MSPA, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a passion and expertise for comprehensive and compassionate dermatologic care.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Chemistry from UC San Diego and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Southern California University of Health Sciences. She is board-certified by the National Commission of Physician Assistants and is an active member of both the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) and the California Academy of PAs (CAPA).
Lydia provides thorough and compassionate care across a broad spectrum of medical, pediatric and cosmetic dermatologic conditions, with clinical expertise in acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer and skin cancer surveillance, geriatric and elderly skin, and other acute and chronic skin concerns. She is deeply committed to patient advocacy and education, believing that empowered patients make informed decisions that lead to better long-term health.
She prides herself in staying up-to-date with the latest published medical and dermatologic literature and experienced with the newest advances in dermatology to ensure that her patients receive the best care possible. Lydia collaborates closely with the physician and surgeon teams at CDMS, combining the best in evidence-based practices with a world-class, patient-centered approach to provide truly optimized care.
Outside of clinic, Lydia enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and their dog. She also has a love for roasting coffee, reading, and baking.

Loved seeing this dermatologist! most others that I’ve seen barely even look at your face and just give you blanket acne treatments. Dr. Amador actually took the time to analyze my skin and hear my experience before suggesting treatment. I’ll definitely be coming back here in the future.

The doctor and her assistant were both very attentive and gentle. They carefully examined my skin, asked detailed questions about the problem areas, and provided clear and appropriate treatment. I also appreciated that they took time to look at my overall skin condition and explain everything patiently. I felt very comfortable throughout the visit and would definitely go back.

Doctor was very ‘available’ to hear and understand what my circumstance was…I have a history of rosacea and have misplaced my medications. She heard that and then looked at my scalp and found a ‘suspicious’ ‘character’ (my word, not hers) on my ear. She took a simple tissue sample and will call me with test results.

I had an outstanding visit with Lydia, PA. She was pleasant, professional, attentive, and very knowledgeable. I’m not accustomed to seeing a PA for my medical problems, but I kept an open mind and am glad I did. Lydia had a way better bedside manner and was easy to speak with than most doctors I’ve seen. I definitely plan to schedule a visit with Lydia about any future dermatology issues.
