Great doctor. I have seen him in the past and he is really good. There was a bit of a wait for my procedure but given the hightened safety precautions for COVID this was understandable.

Dr. Chu has taken good care of me. He handled my colonoscopy and endoscopy. Got to the root of my stomach problems and I am happy to say I haven had any severe symptoms ever since. He's very warm, professional and I feel comfortable seeing him. Highly recommend him to all.

Dr. Mark Chu attended The Bronx High School of Science and NYU before receiving his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Chu completed his Residency at Beth Israel Medical Center and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at New York Hospital Center of Queens. After his training, he joined his family's medical practice in New York City's Chinatown.
Dr. Chu is involved in the teaching of physicians training in gastroenterology and has received numerous teaching awards from Mt Sinai-Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Chu is fluent in English, Spanish, Mandarin and Cantonese.
He performs endoscopic procedures in New York State accredited facilities with modern HD equipment and highly trained staff. I saw four different medical professionals that day. They were all located in close proximity to one another. His visit, Dr. Chu- was the most comfortable from the moment I stepped in his office. I am currently recommending everyone I'm my office and My Husband. Pleasant visit.

I had just one time visit with Dr. Chu for my acid reflux. The secretaries in midtown office are not so friend, especially the older Chinese lady. She was talking loudly to her colleague about me in a negative tone right in front of me like i did not exist. The rude behavior had turned me off almost away. I still visited Dr. Chu. He seems to be professional and has in-depth knowledge. But I did not sense compassionate character of him. I need a warmer doctor who sincerely cares about his patient and knows what to say to put his patient at easy.

Dr Chu was very attentive and listened thoroughly to my concerns. He advised me of what he believed my issues were and also advised me of the process to investigate. He is a keeper! You don't find may physicians (regardless of specialty) that listen to the patient, look the patient in the eye and check into the patient's concerns BEFORE writing a prescription.

I'm so glad I picked him! I laughed & I cried during the appointment and he made me feel great during both instances. I completely trust look into my stomach & diagnose me. I was so relieved when I left. The only thing that he may have lost points for had nothing to do with him. The next day I had to schedule an appt for a test but I never received that phone call. This now overshadows much of his qualities, but I still do trust his knowledge.
