About Dr. Danny Wong
I first became interested in gastroenterology through my personal experience with ulcerative colitis and the trust I built with my doctors as a patient. Now on the other side as a gastroenterologist, I value the lifelong relationships I am able to have with patients-whether it be through tackling chronic conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, investigating symptoms of reflux or abdominal pain, or performing colonoscopies for colon cancer screening. I also love that gastroenterology allows me to combine the cognitive aspects of medicine with hands-on tools such as upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and intestinal ultrasound to diagnose, counsel, and treat patients. The field is ever-evolving, and I look forward to all the innovations to come that will allow me and our team to better care for patients.
I enjoy caring for patients with a variety of gastrointestinal concerns including reflux, abdominal pain, changes in bowel habits, inflammatory bowel disease, and colon cancer screening. I take particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease and have had the privilege of learning intestinal ultrasound from one of the world's leading experts, Dr. Michael Dolinger, as a non-invasive means to assess for and monitor inflammatory bowel disease.
I have published in multiple peer-reviewed journals on topics including inflammatory bowel disease, motility disorders, and quality improvement.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School, completed my residency in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and pursued my fellowship in Gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Hospital.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my wife, family, and friends. We enjoy traveling, exploring new restaurants, and watching musical performances. I am also an avid Knicks fan.

My experience with Dr. Wong at Manhattan's Gastroenterology was a positive one. I waited 5, maybe 6 minutes to see Dr. Wong. He was very professional and knowledgeable. It was my first time ever going to a Gastro Doc and I stumbled upon Dr. Wong because I have private insurance it’s a bit hard finding an in network provider but thankfully I found him and look no further!! He was very attentive, greaaat listener and as soon as I described the problems I was having he recommended what was best for us to do. I am so glad I found him. He is great.

Seeing Dr. Wong was a breath of fresh air. So often, Doctors will push your symptoms and feelings to the side. Whether it be because of your age, your "visible" health etc.. Dr. Wong just listened and took in everything I communicated to him.
