He currently performs surgery at the Fifth Avenue Surgery Center. Dr. Mark McMahon’s office is at 876 Park Avenue, and he is affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. McMahon obtained a Master’s Degree at the London School of Economics in 1985 and he has also studied at Oxford University. He graduated first in his class among Science majors at Georgetown University, where he also received the Biology medal, as well as summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa awards. Dr. Mark McMahon is a Board-certified Orthopedic surgeon. He did an internship at Lenox Hill Hospital, in the General Surgery Department and his residency was at Lenox Hill, in the Orthopedic Surgery Department. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He has published 23 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, has written chapters in orthopedic textbooks, as has given presentations at scientific meetings. Dr. McMahon was a Visiting Scientist at the Hospital for Special Surgery from 2002 to 2004. He was Research Fellow at the Massachusetts General Hospital from 2005 to 2006. He was Research Fellow at Harvard University from 2006 to 2013. In 2017 he became a leader of Ezekiel Hersey Council at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Mark McMahon’s main motivation is his patients, getting to know them, and being involved in their lives.
