More about Dr. Mark Rosen, MD

I have spent the last 26 years specializing in orthopaedics. I take a highly personal and individual approach to caring for each patient. When you become part of my practice you are not just a diagnosis or a disease you are an individual person who has come to me because you need help. I practice general orthopaedics, but, I have a special interest in total joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery and trauma. I strongly believe continuing education is the key to providing excellent patient care. I believe the most important factor in predicting the success of joint replacement is the accuracy of the component positioning. To place those components as accurately as possible I've completed additional rigorous skills training programs in computer assisted robotic hip and knee replacement with the Mako. I have a special interest in traumatic injuries. My partner, Dr. Sanders, and I have been taking call at Nevada's only level I trauma center (University Medical Center) since 1992 (Sanders) and 1993 (me),longer than anybody else still in practice. Some surgeons have a relationship with a particular prosthetic manufacturer. I do not. Therefore I have no obligation to any particular manufacturer and will choose whatever implant will work best for you. My purpose is to handle each and every patient visit with care and proficiency. It is important to me that our Doctor/Patient relationship is open and honest. It is my responsibility to make sure you are well informed about your condition and the multiple choices of treament. It is my hope that this website will help accomplish that goal.
