“Tim Trainor is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon. I tore the PCL and MCL in my left knee and was treated by Tim. He could have advised me to have surgery right away, but instead he said there was a good chance it would heal in six months without surgery (vs. 12-month recovery with surgery).
We decided to give physical therapy and time a chance and guess what, I did not need surgery. The knee healed on its own. Tim made sure I had the knee immobilized in a brace for the right period of time, even over the objection of my physical therapist at one point. I am sure this is why the knee healed properly.
When a surgeon recommends not doing surgery, and makes sure your rehab is done right, you know he's looking out for your best interest.”

About Dr. Timothy J. Trainor
Dr. Timothy Trainor has been voted a Top Doc by multiple magazines both locally and nationally. He graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree. Dr. Trainor received his Doctor of Medicine from Northwestern University, where he was elected into the AOA medical honor society. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Georgetown University Medical Center. After residency, Dr. Trainor served in the US Navy, providing orthopedic surgical care for our Armed Forces. In 2004, he was appointed to the teaching faculty of Tripler Army Medical Center, where he taught orthopedic sports medicine to orthopedic residents. He is also board certified in the subspecialty of Orthopedic Sports Medicine. Dr. Trainor is currently the chief of orthopedic surgery at Centennial Hills Hospital and serves as the consulting physician for the Nevada Athletic Commission.
