I have Crohn's Disease so it is really important for me to be with a Dr. I feel very comfortable with. I just had to switch from a Dr. I absolutely adored, and now I feel lucky to be with Dr. Farid. She is compassionate and smart (the exact combination you want). I feel like I am heard, and I feel she explains things so I understand them. I am currently having issues and she explained the steps we will take to figure out what is going on. Sometimes it can be intimidating opening up and discussing such detailed issues at the Dr.'s office, but after only my 3rd time seeing her I feel like I have been seeing her for years. I completely trust her.

Doctor Mary Farid completed her undergraduate education at UCLA in 1999 and received her medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in 2003. She went on to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at the UCLA-VA program in Westwood, CA, and recently completed her fellowship in Gastroenterology at UCLA. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She is currently a member of the American Gastroenterology Association and the American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Farid enjoys practicing in all areas of general Gastroenterology and has a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease. She is committed to providing excellent, compassionate care to all patients, and to taking the time to address each patient's individual needs.
Outside the office, Dr. Farid is a busy mother of two beautiful children. She enjoys being involved in school activities, reading with her children and spending time with family.
