More about Maryam Mansouri, LAc
Dr. Maryam Mansouri, L.Ac., O.M.D., was born and raised in Iran, where she received her B.S. in Midwifery from one of the country’s most prestigious universities. There she worked in numerous private and public hospitals and delivered over 3000 babies. In 1990 she moved to the United States in hopes of continuing her education and making the world an even better place. She soon began studying Oriental Medicine at South Baylo University, the most prestigious university for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in the United States. In May 2001 she graduated with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and immediately started to work as an Acupuncturist in Orange and later Riverside. At the same time as expanding her practice, Dr. Mansouri continued her education and received her Doctorate Degree in Acupuncture in 2006.
In the past decade Dr. Mansouri has been very active in her community promoting Acupuncture, teaching various classes, giving lectures, and even hosting a show on Satellite Television introducing Oriental Medicine to the audience and holding many question and answer sessions. Dr. Mansouri has experience dealing with both children (having also been a school teacher when in Iran) and the elderly. She speaks fluent Farsi. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
