He completed his Doctor of Oriental Medicine degree at Life University, where his studies concentrated on gynecological diseases. His training for musculoskeletal diseases was completed at LA Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. At that clinic, he learned most Western musculoskeletal diagnostic methods and modalities and gained extensive experience with degenerative bone and joint, nerve, and muscle problems. He is one of the best acupuncturists who understands Western medicine very well and applies Eastern medicine fully. Dr. Hyun Shin practices Acupuncture, Orthopedic Manual Therapy (Tui Na, Joint Manipulation Jok Sim Do), Physical Therapy, and Traditional Chinese Herbs.
