As a Plastic and a Hand surgeon I wear two hats. When dealing with reconstructions and trauma my goal is to return my patient, as closely as possible, to their baseline appearance and function while maintaining realistic expectations. When performing cosmetic surgery I am trying to balance my patient’s goals and expectations with my educated ideal result. After 20+ years in practice, the surgery part is the fun part; while managing those expectations is the real challenge. To accomplish this I take a very informative team approach. I pride myself on creating a warm, comforting, informative environment. This allows me the luxury of educating my patient about what’s going on, why and how best to address the issues, while nurturing a connection that results in your confidence in my fund of knowledge, experience and skills. We make a surgical plan together with my patient having a thorough understanding of the problem, the process and what to expect afterwards result wise and recovery wise. All questions answered. All concerns addressed. I get to do what I love every single day.
Insurances: I participate with most private insurance providers, workers compensation providers and Medicare. I don’t participate with any Medicaid programs.
