Mekedes is a highly trained psychiatric specialist who has an extensive background in nursing. She earned her nursing degrees from Bowie State University and Frontier Nursing University. Following her studies, she gained clinical experience through psychiatry and mental health facilities in Maryland and Washington, D.C. Her experiences led her to seek further education, and she later completed her psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner degree. While medications are effective treatments for several mental health disorders, Mekedes utilizes supportive therapy alongside personalized recommendations and lifestyle changes to help you achieve the best outcomes. Mekedes provides high quality care in both English and Amharic.
