Melissa Abrams graduated with honors from The College of William and Mary with a bachelor's degree in biology. She earned her medical degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, NJ in 2002, and completed a pediatric residency at Children's National Medical Center. Dr. Abrams spent two years conducting clinical trials research under Dr. Amy Paller prior to completing a dermatology residency and pediatric dermatology fellowship at Northwestern University, Chicago.
As as board certified dermatologist and pediatric dermatologist, Dr. Abrams enjoys seeing patients of all ages. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and Society for Pediatric Dermatology.

It was so refreshing to have a doctor actually concerned. I have GA, it is not serious and is only cosmetically displeasing. Every doctor I had seen before had treated it as such, and didn't even diagnose it as GA. I greatly appreciated that she sent me home with information about both the continent AND the treatment. I feel well informed, well cared for and am hopeful that I will be wearing shorts again.

Dr. Abrams was great as always. She felt that another physician in her group would be better at performing the procedure that I needed, referred me to them and I was able to get an appointment within 2 weeks. I wish Dr. Abrams had been able to do everything the same day, but I respect that she values my health enough to refer me to the best possible person to perform a procedure.

This was my first time visiting Dr. Abrams, and I found her to be very knowledgeable, honest, and direct. She was great at explaining things in easy to understand terms, and quickly earned my trust. The clinic was also well-run: I was in and out quickly, with almost no wait time.
