Since 2006, it has been my practice mission to provide high-caliber and compassionate primary care medical services. I have set up my practice to prioritize spending enough time with patients to address all of their concerns at each visit. I have always worked hard for my patients and I have earned a reputation for being thorough, caring, and a highly skilled physician.
My practice interests are varied, but I particularly enjoy coaching patients on nutrition plans, reversing preventable illnesses like diabetes, and helping patients meet their individual health care goals. I am also quite interested in treating common mental health problems, such as anxiety and depression, and actively collaborate with a network of mental health professionals in our area. As a lifelong learner I am diligent about staying current on advancements in medicine and the latest practice guidelines in my field so I can create treatment plans that are up-to-date and personalized for your unique needs.
I take pride in operating an independently owned medical office. I make a point of maintaining traditional values of courtesy, professionalism, and highly personalized care in contrast to the “assembly line” experience that is all too common these days. As an independent practice owner I can confidently say that I will always be working solely for your best interests because I do not answer to a hospital, insurance company, or large medical practice group.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family--my wife Katie and my children Nora and Gabe. We have lived in Vienna since 2003. I am active in many of my children's activities including softball, music, and scouts.

Dr. Joffee seemed a little nervous at the beginning of the physical, but his bedside manner was good. He did a through job on checking the usual including eyes, ears, throat, heart and skin. I felt at ease standing, then sitting on the table with nothing on. When he was checking my soles and toes of my feet, he even tickled them a bit to get a reaction. The prostate part, though uncomfortable, was quick and over before I knew it. My weight, he said could be down another 10 pounds for my age and encouraged me to get a colonoscopy which I did. Overall, a nice doctor.

The office was very clean. I like that it is a smaller sized office. The staff was very polite and welcoming. Dr. Joffee was great! He has great people skills. He made me feel very comfortable and was happy to answer any questions I had.

I came in with a host of issues around Christmas time (bronchitis, etc) and Dr. Joffee was very good at explaining to me what was going on. Left with a couple prescriptions and was gradually back to my normal self within a week! I especially appreciated that the appointment was not rushed in any sense. I really felt as though he cared about my well being which was a nice break from other doctors.

He gave me a thorough exam and I am feeling better already with the medication he prescribed. Dr. Joffee is very thorough and treated me as a member of my health care team. He looked at my history and reviewed my medications. He listened to me. He discussed treatment options with me and I felt as if we made decisions together. The office staff was very friendly and the office is run very efficiently. I was impressed that in this time of a spreading flu epidemic, the waiting room was equipped with tissues, masks, and hand sanitizer. I look forward to seeing him again as my new primary care provider. I highly recommend him.

He is very good, listens and actually asks questions about your nutrition and overall health. He has an analytical mind and makes sure understand the whole problem before coming to a quick diagnosis. I have see. Multiple doctors (specialists) in the past months and he is even better than specialists that just want to give you drugs and put bandaids to bigger problems.

Quick and thorough visit. The nurse took my stats in about 5 minutes and Dr. Joffee came in about a minute later. Doc did full exam, including drawing my blood. Prescription was waiting at the pharmacy for me an hour later.

After having a hard time finding a doctor in the DC area that I liked and felt spent time getting to know me, I was very pleased to finally find Dr. Joffee. I would highly recommend him as a PCP and hopefully will be returning. He spent a great deal of time getting to know me and my health habits, as well as discussing my upcoming international travel and some possible health risks. He took notes and really listened, which I have found can be rare and I really appreciated.

Dr. Joffee is basically what every doctor SHOULD be. He takes his time, asks detailed questions, explains things without being condescending, and makes sure that he's covered all bases. I've never had a doctor tell me to schedule a physical so that he can get to know me better as a patient...usually the onus is on the patient to remember such things. Overall, he's great, and so was his 3rd year med student doing her rotations.
