Obviously very competent doctor. Nice professional , knowledgeable and helpful. Did thorough exam , wrote out directions to follow and I enjoyed the lovely staff at the office. Excellent experience, highly recommend with no reservation. Also loved booking on zoc doc!

Dr. Michael J. Borodkin is a summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. He received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine and completed a residency in ophthalmology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Dr. Borodkin is a LASIK and cornea specialist who did a fellowship with one of the pioneers of laser vision correction, Dr. Marguerite McDonald. He is also one of the few ophthalmologists who is fellowship trained in laser vision correction procedures. Dr. Borodkin performs small incision, no stitch cataract surgery, including LASER ASSISTED CATARACT SURGERY LACS). He also is a specialist in the use of toric and multifocal intraocular lenses which allow patients to see clearly at distance and near without glasses following cataract surgery. Dr. Borodkin is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has been in practice for over 20 years. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the Medical Society of the State of New York, the Nassau County Medical Society and the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery.

I only went for a routine eye exam, but Dr. Borodkin was very thorough and explained every test and result completely. It was refreshing to have a doctor spend quality time explaining the process and even the “math” he used to calculate my eye pressure based on the fact that I am a LASIK patient with thinner corneas. Highly recommend him!

Dr Borodkin was fantastic! He should consider switching out one of his receptionists (one of them (Evelyn Pena) was chatting on the phone with her friend and didn't tell me that doctor was ready to see me and i waited in the waiting room for 30 minutes until the Dr called reception to ask where I was. I could have gotten in without a wait at all if it weren't for this oversight. Evelyn was also very rude when I gave her feedback post my appointment. The other receptionist apologized but she did not. Really not acceptable behavior.)

I came in for what I believed was an eye infection. Dr. Borodkin was extremely thorough and knowledgeable, he gave a thorough exam and clearly explained the diagnosis. The office staff was friendly and the appointment was on-time. I was in and out within 20 minutes.

I arrived a bit early and was seen a few minutes after my scheduled start time. Dr. Borodkin was very friendly and thorough. I haven't had an eye exam that was this thorough in a very long time. He answered my questions and did not seem rushed. As a nice plus, his office where the exam took place was large and very nice, with a large window and chandelier!
