I had a wonderful pediatrician growing up; he knew my whole family very well. His gentle manner and calm style put everyone at ease. My father was a physician as well. I think that pediatrics was always my destiny. I have become somewhat famous among patients for my ear exam. When I look in the ears of young children, I often find some little birdies whistling away in there. It makes the exam so much more pleasant for the nervous 2- and 3-year-olds. Now when I enter the room, many children will ask me to check their ears! My goal is to be a team member, working with families to optimize health and happiness. I am a good listener and often find that the patients or parents can tell me what is wrong before I even do the exam. I like to make decisions together and feel very fortunate to work with so many fabulous families.
