Over a year after this appointment, and I'm still dealing with insurance issues for it.
I arrived for an annual visit. I was very clear that I wanted only what was covered by my insurance company. The receptionist assured that would be the case.
So I was very surprised to receive a bill for tests done during the physical that were not covered by my insurance. I have been bounced back and forth between this office, Yale NewHaven Health and my insurance provider for over a year trying to iron this out.
Doctor Cafaro is a wonderful doctor. However, unless you don't mind covering surprise medical bills out of your own pocket, you might want to consider other options.

Dr. Cafaro is always very efficient, courteous & professional. He asks all questions in reference to my visit & answers any concerns I may have. He recommends the appropriate vitamins & regular advice to my health questions & concerns.

Dr. Cafaro went over bloodwork, medications, how I was feeling. Explained everything in detail about my X-Rays, MRI's, talked in detail about options to quit smoking. Gave me a treatment plan. Excellent visit!

Excellent, very professional. Reviewed & explained recent CAT in lay terms. CAT ordered by urologist that Dr. Cafaro reffered me to as a result of blood in urine. Reviewed my concern with recent persistent cough which he researched & learned that I was allergic to a medicine prescribed by a dermatologist. Stopped the medicine & symptoms disappeared.
