Wow. Incredibly friendly staff that make you feel extremely well taken care of. They bent over backwards to make sure I felt properly accommodated and made amazing side conversation. They are very evidently experts at what they do and did a great job listening to my needs and concerns. They also updated my glasses lenses to their proper prescription right then and there. Usually most places tell you to come back in a couple weeks. I’ve had my fair share of horror stories when it comes to eye doctors (downside of having cheap insurance) but the staff made me feel like I had the best insurance on the planet! I’ll definitely be coming back again.. totally worth the 1 hour drive for me!

Dr. Mike Demers is the co-owner of Superior EyeCare in the Lakeview Area. Dr. Mike was born and raised in Storm Lake, IA, where he attended Buena Vista University graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in biological sciences. Dr. Demers earned his Doctorate of Optometry degree as Valedictory graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry. During his time there, Mike was the recipient of a record number of awards recognizing his academic and clinical excellence and his commitment to community service.

The doctor was incredibly kind and so was his staff. They were extremely accommodating. Probably the best first visit I’ve ever had with a provider ever!

Appointment was quick, organized and didn’t feel rushed at all.
I’m definitely returning again and again.
There was a loud conversation going on in the front office by who I’m assuming was another provider that didn’t seem extremely professional and was a bit off putting.
But other than that I was very happy with my appointment.

I love my eye doctor and his staff. I had eye nerve pain and now I have a beautiful pair of glasses that fit my face nicely. Not only can I see without pain but now I get compliments from everyone on my lovely frames. Everyone was so friendly. We all sat and talked before closing and my doc and his sweet receptionist taught me how to take care of my glasses. I love them all and can't wait to bring my daughter to get her eyes checked out.
