About Dr. Alexander Pitts
Alexander Pitts, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2023. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a certificate in Global Health from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2018. Dr. Pitts' passion for optometry began when he got glasses in the 3rd grade and couldn't stop playing with all the machines in the doctor's office. Since then, his interest in the field has only deepened, driven by the ability to help people see better and improve their lives through quality vision care. His primary areas of interest in optometry include retinal disease, glaucoma, and soft contact lenses, with a strong focus on patient education at every exam. Dr. Pitts is committed to providing the highest level of care to his patients and has volunteered for several local and international service trips, offering eye exams and glasses to those in need. Outside of optometry, Dr. Pitts enjoys going to concerts, exploring the Chicago food scene, cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers, and traveling.

I loved everything about my eyewear appointment. Both receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful, and I didn’t have to wait at all—I was in and out in no time.
I had a few exams done, and the receptionist even contacted my previous eye doctor to obtain my prescription, which I truly appreciated. The doctor was just as wonderful—thorough, professional, and attentive. Overall, it was an excellent experience from start

The doctor was professional, high tech and thorough even though the office didn't look like a traditional optometrist office. The facility had lots of high tech toys and the Dr did an excellent job seeing me for the first time.

They are really great over there at Wear Eyewear. The doctor was down to earth and cared. He was very thorough but the appointment didn’t take long at all. The reception and other staff were also very nice and helpful with choosing eyewear and getting checked in and out smoothly and quickly. The office is lovely and has all the top notch equipment needed. Great selection of eyewear. Very happy I ended up there.
