Michael Goins is a Nurse Practitioner graduate of Columbia University School of Nursing with over 25 years of experience. Mr. Goins specializes in the field of HIV Primary Care for the adult patient and has a special interest in sexual health medicine for the LGBTQ community. Prevention of HIV and the treatment and prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are an integral part of Mr. Goins’ practice. This includes management of patients benefitting from PEP and PrEP for the prevention of HIV Disease, Doxy-PEP for the prevention of STIs, and screening for anal cancer. Mr. Goins also focuses on the screening, prevention and treatment of viral hepatitis and prescribes appropriate vaccinations for the individual patient. Patient education is a priority in his practice, and Mr. Goins provides management of patients requesting general primary care services. An empathetic and intelligent provider, Mr. Goins collaborates with specialty providers, as needed, for best patient outcomes.
