Went in to review my prescription/have it refilled. Was told that my ongoing headaches were the result of my 'being a young woman', and that they would go away with menopause. This doctor is not up to date with the current literature, and ignored 90% of what I was saying. He insisted on recommending a treatment even though "I probably wouldn't qualify for it." It was the most ridiculous appointment. Eventually walked out with my prescription, thankfully, but would not recommend this doctor.
Wonderful doctor - very helpful and comforting. I hit my head on pavement in biker accident & saw him a few days after for post-concussion symptoms -- he addressed all symptoms and was very helpful in explaining what was happening. Highly recommended.
Dr Hutchinson is very knowledgeable. He asked pointed questions and listened to my responses. He deemed it appropriate for me to have an MRI done. (Which he referred me to a place that took me on the spot). Afterwards he took the time to explain all images then gave me a prescription to hopefully correct my problem.
Great doctor - took the time to walk me through the MRI images and explain his exact thoughts. Helped make me feel at ease.
Well all in all, I came to this physician to address my concerns regarding my circulation and a couple of other issues. He went into this long discourse about how we, as patients request a lot of unnecessary labs and tests that make insurance skyrocket through the roof. Bottom line, he didn't make a diagnosis or recommend me for any labs. I had my doubts so I went to another physician and got the labs needed. It turns out that my iron levels were critically low, (close tot he need for a transfusion) which explained the tingling, numbness and circulation issues. I have been on high dosage iron for a little while now to regulate my iron. I am starting to feel better. I probably wouldn't recommend this particular physician
I loved Dr Hutchinson! So informative and a true professional!
A doctor who has extensive knowledge in his field and his manners in dealing with patients is second to none.
He knows what he's doing.
Dr. Hutchinson was very professional and his staff was helpful
Very helpful staff and no wait! Dr. Hutchinson took his time with me and I will definitely be back!
Very highly recommend. Thorough, personable and smart. And doesn't rush a consultation or visit.
I was recommended to Dr Hutchinson by my friend. I was more than satisfied with his professional behavior. He answered all my questions and at no time did I feel rushed. In today's world of volume at no time did I feel I wasn't given enough time to discuss a medical plan in great detail. I would feel extremely comfortable recommending Dr Hutchinson to family or friends.
Arrived 10 minutes early and filled out the forms ahead of time as I'm quite busy trying to wrap up a lot of work before I leave for s long vacation. Even though I made an appointment, still waited until sometime between 3:45 and 3:50 to be seen with no updates from the receptionist. The appointment was an even bigger waste of time. Doctor just looked at a book, looked something up online and made a bunch of speculative guesses, none of which he seemed particularly certain of or confident in. Spent 20 minutes in office and 35-40 minutes waiting just for someone to tell me time will heal the issue. Thanks, glad I could throw away a co-pay.
Great experience. Doctor actually took time to listen and explain everything, and was very attentive. Very knowledgable and caring. Highly recommend!
He was very personal and took matters seriously which I liked. Most doctors just already make an assumption by what you say but he really sits down and listens to what you have to say. Definitely recommend.
Dr. Hutchinson was great to talk to and get a comprehensive view of my condition. Will definitely go back if I need it.
Dr. Hutchinson was thorough and professional. He asked questions and did not rush the appointment.
I had a very informative and helpful appointment with Michael Hutchinson today. He is very knowledgeable, listens carefully and takes his time to do a thorough diagnosis. He's very understanding and pleasant to talk to. Highly recommended!
Dr. Hutchinson was very attentive, professional and had a sense of humor which I always appreciate. I could see he was taking my symptoms very seriously, and feel we can work as a team to get to the bottom of my health concerns. He was very pleasant. I am looking forward to my next visit.
Dr. Hutchinson was very professional, thorough and knowledgeable. Very pleasant and personable.
This doctor is very helpful and accommodating. He helped me with my headaches and gave me a plan of how and when to take the medication he prescribed to me. I'm comfortable working with him.
Lovely bedside manner. Highly clinically skilled.
Dr. Hutchinson put me completely at ease regarding my MRI results and he seems to take an interest in his patients. He loves to talk, which is nice to find in a doctor!
He is a very knowledgeable doctor, didn't rush through the visit and explained the problem clearly.
Dr. Hutchinson is an excellent doctor. He is knowledgable, interesting, funny and takes time to provide clear explanations. I am glad to have found him as a resource to help provide solutions to ease my recurring headaches.
Dr. Hutchinson was kind, but he definitely prescribed medication that was on the extreme side when I get a second opinion from another Doctor. She said that she was worried I could become addicted to the medication he prescribed. He also discussed some obscure personal views about conditions that seemed highly anecdotal and not based on medically accepted knowledge. For example, he said that gay men tend to get female pattern migraines - something I'm not sure is either correct or that he should be telling his patients.
Probably one of the best consultations and visits I've had. Dr. Hutchinson was very thorough, took the time to explain all my symptoms and come up with a great reco. Highly recommend!
Dr Hutchinson cares more about getting sued then diagnosing and treating his patients. Complete and utter waste of time and money.
It took me a long time to find a doctor that knew exactly how I felt and how my body felt. He knew just were the pay was and how to address it. I look forward to working with him in the future.
Great doctor. Very attentive and thorough. Will be recommending him to my husband as well. So far has been much more helpful than other specialists I have seen for my problem.
Dr. Hutchinson has an amazing bedside manner, he sent me for a MRI right away, instead of having me wait a couple of days. When we got the results I went in first thing the next morning where we both looked at the results and he explained everything that we were seeing. He uses current day cases to relate experiences and knowledge which reassures you that he is current in his practice. He is extremely attentive, thurough, and well read. He is a rare find and a great doctor.
It's a comfortable, informative visit. He is personable and takes his time with patients.
Great doctor, very caring and knowledgeable. No wait time!
The first time I went it was about a 1.5 hours long meeting, and we spent more time discussing his work than discussing what was going on with me. He couldn't diagnose much, so he sent me to get a couple tests - one of which was with an out of network provider, which could cost thousands of dollars out of pocket. When I went back for a follow up he said my scans were normal and sent me for some basic tests with my primary care physician. He called about a week later to let me know everything was good with my blood tests too. So while this sounds like it was a success story - I am still having the same problems that I was having when I went to see him. A final call to say 'Everything is good. Goodbye.' is far from helpful when trying to figure out what is going on with me. Overall it wasn't a very good experience, it didn't feel thorough, and on top of not having any direction of what to do to figure this out, I am real nervous about getting a bill from the out of network provider that could cost thousands.
I've lived in NYC for over 15 years. He is by all means, my favorite doctor. I feel comfortable and he is extremely knowledgable, helpful, and funny. It's a pleasure to be his patient.
Dr Hutchinson took his time with me and answered all of my questions in great detail. He was extremely informative, professional and had excellent bedside manner.
Dr. Hutchinson was extremely professional. He took his time explaining everything to me and my husband and answered both of our questions. We were there for almost an hour. He didn't order unnecessary tests. He has a monitor on his desk that faces the patient so we could read along while he looked up information on the internet (Mt. Sinai site and Web Md, etc.) while we were there. We liked that he didn't just think he had all the answers but was willing to consult other sources.
My appointment with dr Hutchinson far exceeded my expectations! He spent almost an hour with me reviewing my symptoms, examining me and discussing treatment options. He was highly knowledgeable and personable! I highly reccomend him and am looking forward to my follow up visit!
Excellent visit. Thoughtful Doc who took the time to understand my immediate concerns and more holistic medical history. Smart and thoughtful and willing to explain the science. Thank you Dr. Hutchinson!
Very happy with it

He's an amazing doctor! He was so thorough and listened to everything that I had to say. That's very important to me in a doctor.
He was very nice and knowledgable - really put me at ease. Funny and easy going all while still maintaining a level of seriousness around whatever health issue he is dealing with.
