If needed, you will be scheduled to see Dr. Matthew directly.*** Dr. Elizabeth Matthew is a Board Certified neurologist practicing at Medical Arts Centers, multispecialty clinics at four New York City locations. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Christian Medical College Vellore. Dr. Matthew has over 30 years of experience and is passionate about helping patients with neurologic conditions such as seizures, spinal cord and peripheral nerve disorders, chronic headaches, neck and back pain, and sleep problems. Your encounter at Medical Arts Clinics will consist of two visits: - Initial Evaluation is usually conducted by Dr. Matthew’s licensed Staff Physicians. During this visit, routine office procedures and diagnostic tests such as EKG, vascular and general ultrasound, nerve conduction studies (NCS), electroencephalogram (EEG), sleep studies, MRI, X-rays, CT scans, and more will be performed to gather necessary data for treatment. Dr. Matthew’s state-of-the-art office technology allows most diagnostics on-site during the first visit, with results typically available within a week. - Neurological Consultation is performed by Dr. Matthew, who will evaluate all diagnostics to create your individualized treatment plan. If necessary, she will perform a “STAT” or “Wet” (immediate) reading. Dr. Matthew’s individualized approach considers factors including lifestyle, exercise, diet, and stress.
