Dr. Michael Richards graduated with honors from West Georgia College, with a B.A. in Biology/Chemistry. He attended graduate school at The University of Georgia in microbiology. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in 1985. While in optometry school, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Sigma and Beta Sigma Kappa honor societies. Dr. Richards entered practice with Georgia Optometry Group (formerly Hunter Eyecare) in 1987. Dr. Richards is a native of Douglas County, is married and has one son. He enjoys all family activities with his wife and son including motorcycles, dirt biking, bicycling, all forms of racing and sports.
