Originally from New Jersey, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brown University with a major in Evolutionary Biology and a minor in Music. After graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from the New York University School of Medicine, I moved to San Francisco and completed my Emergency Medicine residency and fellowship at Alameda Health Center in Oakland, CA where I served as chief resident.
As a former Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, I have extensive experience with the administration of ketamine for pain control, procedural sedation and induction for anesthesia.
After spending most of my career caring for patients with emergency conditions, I have transitioned to providing personalized preventative medicine to encourage optimal health and wellness. In this context, the importance of connecting mind, body, and spirit to heal the entire individual has become a core focus of my work. I am passionate about the opportunity to help heal patients rapidly and effectively through a functional approach incorporating lifestyle assessment and optimization, ketamine infusion therapy, and evidence-based mindfulness techniques.
