OR
Hi there, I'm Kevin! Hello! My name is Kevin Wilbanks, D. Min, MA, NCC, L.P.C. (Oregon and Georgia), L.C.P.C. (Idaho), L.M.H.C. (Utah). "Kevin" is fine! Thank you for reaching out! I am here to collaborate with you to get from where you are to where you want to be in your life. I work with couples and individual adults. I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, which laid the foundation for my work as a therapist. My approach I assist couples in solving relationship problems by helping with communication, building trust and respect, conflict resolution, and rebuilding friendship and companionship. I use behavioral skills building, boundary setting, role modeling, role-playing, and facilitating self-exploration. I help individuals and couples understand patterns of trigger events, negative thoughts, toxic emotions, and self-sabotaging behaviors—and how to change them—while addressing unresolved past experiences contributing to present pain. My focus I work with individual adults and couples seeking well-being and control over their lives and relationships. I assist clients in overcoming depression, anxiety, marital and relationship conflicts, and problems. My communication style I facilitate client collaboration toward change in an environment of listening, understanding, non-judgmental consideration, dependability, and honesty. Our relationship is the most important aspect, so you can grow to be more of who you want to be. Therapy helps resolve past interpersonal problems and overcome barriers by offering a “corrective emotional experience” through your relationship with me as your therapist. For example, finally feeling heard and understood by someone! My journey to mental healthcare Helping you as your therapist is an honor and privilege. I became a therapist to earn the trust of my clients so I can help them no longer suffer pain and grief.
