Dr. Hakimian is a co-founder of Progressive Care for Women and brings over 17 years of experience to the practice. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University and her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed her specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lutheran General Hospital where she was Chief Resident. She is now an attending physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Dr. Hakimian is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has a special interest in the menopausal transition and abnormal uterine bleeding. She is an experienced minimally invasive surgeon, including in-office hysteroscopic sterilization and endometrial ablation. She also has advanced training in spider vein treatments.
In her spare time, she enjoys Pilates, reading, skiing and spending time with her husband and two children

This was my first visit with Dr Hakimian. The office was clean and in a great building. The front desk nurses were really helpful and nice and answered a few extra questions for me about my insurance, and the Dr was right on time so I didn't wait long at all. Dr. Hakimian was thorough and very professional and I was out in 45 minutes, which was great for a yearly check up. I fully plan on going back to Dr. Hakimian in the future and would encourage anyone else to do so as well.
