Dr. Michelle Persun earned her Bachelor's degree in biology from Penn State University and her medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine. She completed a surgical internship and residency in urology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She practiced with Triangle Urological Group in Pittsburgh for six years before moving to the Philadelphia area. She is board certified in urology.
Dr. Persun sees men and women for all urological concerns. She has a special interest in women's urology, especially stress incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse ("dropped" bladder, vagina, rectum), pelvic pain, urinary tract infections and interstitial cystitis. She emphasizes a comprehensive and supportive approach to treatment.
Dr. Persun has lectured and published on a variety of urology topics. She is a member of the American Urological Association, Endourological Association and the Society of Women in Urology. She lives in Moorestown, New Jersey with her husband, Dr. Richard Harkaway. Her interests include tennis, yoga and cooking.

I was pleased with the office staff especially Cheryl. She was very helpful. The nurse who to me to the exam room was nice also but seemed a little rushed and irritated. Dr Persun was nice and thorough but a little restrained. She was very professional and answered all my questions.
