I then tailor their care based on the best available evidence-based medicine. I am also a member of the genitourinary cancer multidisciplinary consultation team. Together, we review your diagnostic information and provide a written opinion reflecting the scope of your condition and recommendations for your best course of care. Why I entered medicine My mother became ill when I was in college, inspiring me to become a physician. I chose to specialize in urologic oncology to help patients find healing where there was suffering. Education and training I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the College of Mount Saint Vincent. I received my Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. I completed my residency in Urology at the same institution and pursued a fellowship in Urologic Oncology at New York University. Community involvement We have been conducting annual prostate cancer education and free prostate cancer screenings in the community. These initiatives are very important to us. Personal interests I have two young children. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality moments with them at museums, aquariums, or wherever our family can have fun.
