MILHIM I. ASWAD, M.D. has been practicing ophthalmology locally since completing his residency and fellowship at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, MA. A corneal specialist, Dr. Aswad also serves as a general ophthalmologist to patients of many age groups. In addition to corneal disease, Dr. Aswad has a special interest in external disease and cataract surgery, operating primarily at Surgisite Boston, (www.surgisiteboston.com) an ambulatory surgery center in Waltham, MA.
He has been actively involved in teaching ophthalmology residents from Boston University and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at the Veterans’ Administration in Jamaica Plain. For several years, Dr. Aswad served as Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology at the University of Massachusetts medical Center in Worcester, MA. A recipient of best fellow presentation by the Castroviejo Society and best surgical instructor by the graduation Boston University residents. Dr. Aswad is currently on staff at Norwood Hospital and at the Faulkner Hospital.
Fluent in Arabic and French, Dr. Aswad is a Board Certified ophthalmologist, having completed his medical degree at American University of Beirut and his internship at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, Lebanon.
