Dr. Miriam S. Singer is a board-certified dermatologist practicing general adult and pediatric dermatology.
In addition to her practice with the Dermatology Physicians of Dallas, Dr. Singer is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Dr. Singer completed her dermatology residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Prior to that, she graduated with a bachelor of Arts degree with honors from the University of Chicago and completed a fellowship year in biochemistry at Cambridge University in England. She then entered the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Chicago, where she earned her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees. Dr. Singer's doctoral research in cell biology received many accolades, including the Dr. Harold Lamport Biomedical Research Award for Best Dissertation in Biomedical Research and the award for Outstanding Achievement in Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology. Dr. Singer graduated with honors from the University of Chicago Pritkzer School of Medicine, and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Singer is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Singer treats a wide variety of skin disorders, including infections, acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, allergic rashes, skin cancers, and less common conditions. She enjoys connecting to and caring for patients of all ages. She believes in empowering her patients to make informed choices about their health care. She also values working together with other doctors as part of Dallas's large and distinguished community of physicians.
She and her husband live in Dallas and have five children.

She was great. Very through, personable and unhurried. When prescribing, she asked about my insurance and advised if the drug was not covered, leave it at the pharmacy and she'd prescribe another. That seems like a small thing, but I've never had a doctor do that before. It tells me that the doctor values the patients' outcome and wants to ensure compliance with treatment.

Dr. Singer sat down and explained what was going on and different options for treatment and each option's pros and cons. Other dermatologists I have been to in the past simply walked in, wrote a prescription, and walked out, so I really appreciated the time that she took to determine what I wanted and how best to get there.

My friend referred me to Dr. Singer. She was very nice, and took the time to explain all the different options I had for my acne. And when I decided on one, she explained in detail all the side effects and things I had to do.... Although her appointments fill up fast, she was well worth the wait! I had a long list of complaints about my skin, moles, sweating, etc and she took the time to talk to me about all of my concerns. And when my mole biopsy results came back she called me personally. She has changed my life!

She appeared frightened at the spots which was on my face,back, and chest. I felt like wasting my time and money. She recommended hydroquinon tube, or birth pills, which I could ordinarily have picked up from the store. I did not get helpful insight as to the cause or solution to the problem.

First appointment with Dr. Singer, and she and her staff were fabulous!! Dr. Singer took time to address all of my needs, answer all questions, AND THEN showed sensitivity to prescription cost issues by giving me product rebates and samples! The office is efficiently run and high tech, with professional and courteous staff!

she wrote down my treatment for me and took the time to explain all of the options I had for my psoriasis.
Also, there was a misunderstanding with an appointment on zocdoc where I saw her P.A. instead of Dr. Singer. Dr. Singer saw me the following week at no charge.

I highly recommend Dr. Singer. She did a full skin exam in a way that made me feel at ease while also giving me the sense that I was in competent, professional hands.
