Dr. Misako McLeod is a Foot and Ankle specialist practicing in the Las Vegas area. Dr. McLeod specializes in treatment of foot and ankle problems with an emphasis on Limb Salvage and Preservation, Reconstructive Surgery, Pediatrics, and Trauma.
Dr. McLeod completed a 3 year surgical residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, where she trained under world renowned Dr. Jack Schuberth in Total Ankle Replacement in the treatment of severe ankle arthritis.
After residency, Dr. McLeod then trained 2nd and 3rd year residents at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Rosa, California in foot and ankle surgery.
In 2010, Dr. McLeod as awarded a prestigious AO Fellowship and completed training in Lugano, Switzerland under the direction of AO Trauma professor, Dr.Klaus Klaue. She then went on to complete additional fellowship training in Kurgan, Russia at the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Orthopedics and Traumatology where she advanced her skills in external fixation and the Ilizarov technique.
Dr. McLeod’s clinical interests are Limb Salvage and Preservation, Complex wounds, Charcot deformity correction, Reconstruction, and Post-traumatic injuries.
Dr. McLeod’s personal interest include reading, history, hiking, swimming, and astronomy. She enjoys learning about different cultures, people, and countries, and has traveled to to Japan, Morocco, Turkey, Italy, Switzerland, England, France, Spain, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Mexico, and Russia.

Quality care, compassion, Dr. McLeod is by for the best ankle (and many other things) surgeon I have ever encountered in this journey (which has taken almost 1/2 my life)/ I always look forward to the visits, the comraderie (I feel we were both been in this together!!) My favorite doctor ever the best care I've ever received in my life. I believe! Too bad we don't have more like her
