What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? My passion is to care for my patients as I would my family. I strive to build relationships with my patients so I am able to provide comprehensive care and assist them to become active in their own health. Whether it be physical or mental health, I go above and beyond to ensure my patients lead successful, healthy lives. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? The Primary Care Provider should be the front line, the "go to " person to treat as well as prevent all health conditions. I have been an FNP for 11 years working primarily in Community Healthcare Centers and Hospital Based Clinics. Prior to that I worked as an RN in the hospital setting for 12 years. I have years of experience with chronic medical conditions such as Diabetes and Hypertension as well as Mental Health such as Anxiety, Depression, and ADHD. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I was born and raised in Wichita Falls, TX. I became a NP because I want to be able to give back to my community. I watched healthcare providers save my family member when I was young, and new that my path was to be a caregiver. It’s my passion and my mission to help others . Due to my love of the ocean, I moved from Texas to Florida to continue my passion in Healthcare, and to be able to enjoy the scenery and ocean life! I love spending time with my family and my spare time I enjoy reading, swimming, and fishing.
