His patient-centric approach to healthcare led him to establish his own practice in 1996.
Dr. Taj has served on peer review boards and Family Practice department meetings at Northeast Methodist. I felt like my concerns were not heard, I was told right away that what I had were allergies simply because the allergens were high. Did not bother asking questions about my medical history. My time was wasted here, another day in bed would have been better spent than the five minutes the Doctor took to see me.

We had paused discussing my issue (which he didn't appear to be concerned about) & he said he would get my prescription; I waited in the exam room for him to return. Five minutes went by, then 10. After 15 minutes, I decided to go look for him. I had to ask several of his staff before I discovered he went to another patient appointment down the hall. I didn't tell him I was finished & he didn't tell he was finished. I told one of his staff to get him because I still had a couple of questions & as far as I was concerned he was still on the clock with my visit. I had to wait five more minutes for him to return & when he did, I asked him why he didn't tell me he was finished & he just said, "I thought we were done." It was icing for the cake because he didn't seem interested at all in my health to begin with. Guess who's not going back to the quack.

I was completely appalled by the bedside manner I received during my visit. The receptionist and the transcriber were the only kind people I came into contact with that day. Everyone else was rude and curt. Limited eye contact from the nurses and doctors alike. I felt like I was on a conveyor belt and that my concerns were not properly attended.
I have an issue with sudden things, namely sudden movement and those needle pens. I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH NEEDLES. These are two different things. I was asked repeatedly if I was going to punch the nurse as I sat there with tears running down my face, shaking and clinging to my boyfriend. Then to have the assumption made that I don't have children that I probably shouldn't because of my fear of needle pens. You have no idea want in my life could have lead me to have this fear. It's not something that I have always had. It is something that was learned after several years of abuse. So thanks for making my fear seem little and petty. Thanks for treating my pain like a joke or irrational. Just thanks.
The doctor spent more time talking to the transcriber than actually TALKING to me. Then his statements about my new diagnosis about how I just need to cut carbs and that I MUST feel hungry just an hour after eating. Didn't ask me about my diet, didn't listen to the exercise that I have been doing. Just again assuming that I stuff my face with carbs and sit on my lazy rear end all day every day. Then after showing my that the new medication you wanted to give me was, surprise in a needle pen, continuing to tell me how I must take it and that it's easier, as I sat there and repeatedly told you no I don't want it. It wasn't until I had to said no like 30 times that you even offered an alternative.
I came in with 4 different issues and you treated two of them. Both with just shoving meds at me. No suggestions on seeing a nutritionist to come up with a plan for better eating. No suggestions on seeing the Arrositi team that is housed in your same facility for any kind of physical therapy. Nothing other shoving pills down my throat.
I will never return to this facility by choice ever again.

Dr. Taj is a really nice man. He took the time to go over everything I asked for, an overall checkup. He addressed what could potentially be causing the problems I am having and provided solutions. It is hard to find a good doctor. I will be going back for lab work on Monday
