Dr. Austin, a Dallas native, graduated magna cum laude from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, where she graduated in Alpha Omega Alpha, an honorary medical society. Dr. Austin then completed her internal medicine internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, prior to completing her Dermatology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
Her scope of practice encompasses medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, with a special interest in non-invasive cosmetic procedures, skin cancer detection, and acne. Dr. Austin prides herself on her ability to not only treat the skin condition, but develop personal and lifelong relationships with her patients.
Dr. Austin is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Texas Dermatological Society, American Society of Lasers in Medicine, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons. She enjoys public speaking and has given lectures to various Dallas social groups on a wide variety of topics ranging from sun protection to cosmetics.

Great. I had an initial evaluation and needed a minor procedure. Dr. Austin was able to do the procedure at the same appointment, which was quick and convenient - and I didn’t need to schedule a follow-up visit to have it done.

This was my first visit with Dr. Austin. She was very warm and friendly, which made me feel instantly comfortable. She seemed knowledgeable and competent, as she quickly diagnosed my issues and took care of my problem. What I really appreciated was that she did not push me to go through with an elective procedure, and honestly explained what was and wasn't needed. Also they give you an estimate of the cost before performing any procedures, which I think is a great practice. I'll certainly be returning to her for all my dermatological needs.

Dr. Austin was lovely. Professional, kind and talked me through everything as she was doing it.
