About Dr. Lisa Guidry Pruett
Dr. Lisa Guidry Pruett is originally from southern Louisiana. At an early age, she decided that she wanted to be a physician because of her love for science and learning. She spent summers working in her father’s internal medicine practice in Covington, Louisiana and watched her mother attend medical school while she was in high school. She graduated Valedictorian of Saint Scholastica Academy in Covington, LA and went on to graduate summa cum laude with a double major in Biology and Psychology from the University of Alabama in 1999, where she was the recipient of the Septima Cecilia Smith Award given to the most outstanding graduating biology major.
She then entered Louisiana State University School of Medicine where her husband, mother, father, brother, and sister all graduated with MD degrees. She was inducted into LSU’s chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha, the only medical honor society, as a junior with only six other junior medical students. She consistently scored in the 99th percentile nationally during medical licensure and dermatology inservice exams. Her interest in dermatology began during clinical rotations as a medical student when she was exposed to a variety of skin disorders in her pediatric, medical, surgical and obstetric rotations. She completed her internship in internal medicine at LSU Charity Hospital and her dermatology residency at LSU in Shreveport and New Orleans. She has been board certified by the American Board of Dermatology since 2007.
She started a dermatology clinic in a New Orleans suburb with Ochsner Health System in 2007 and was the sole dermatologist there for two years. She moved to Dallas in 2009 when she married her husband, Jon, and joined him in practice at Trinity Dermatology in Carrollton, Texas. She has been in practice in the Dallas area since 2009 and together with her husband founded Revival Dermatology in 2021. She loves building relationships with her patients and helping them with all of their medical, surgical and cosmetic skin needs. Her interests include skin cancer detection, melasma, acne, allergic contact dermatitis and cosmetic dermatology including botox, filler injections, and laser and energy based procedures. She stays up to date on the most advanced techniques to give her patients the best outcomes for their cosmetic concerns. She is the co-founder of solwearMD, a startup sun protective clothing company. She lives in Highland Park with her husband and their four children Luke, Noah, Stella and Jolie and enjoys balancing her life as a mom and dermatologist.

Ruth was amazing!! so personable right at the start, she really helped me during the blood draw as well (I hate needles) I was comfortable the entire time. The Dr. was incredible as well... she actually listened to everything I said and took the time to help me not only understand what was going to happen with each step, but she even wrote me some notes to take (without me asking) in case I needed a reminder of what was going to happen next.... I've literally never had a medical professional ever do that.
I'm blown away at the whole process and how easy, helpful and awesome they were. I wish all my medical appointments could be handled here.

This is how your ideal consultation would go! Nice office and friendly staff. I got attended in a reasonable time. She listened to my concerns and asked questions accordingly. Dr Lisa Pruett was polite and attentive. The overall patient experience was quite unpleasant however. The medicine she prescribed had to go through an independent pharm (medscript) and despite being told otherwise it took 3 full business days for the pharm to authorize the meds. In the meantime Revival offered to call an alternative to CVS which I agreed to but turned out to be the SAME meds I was already taking!! (prescribed by another derm & ineffective ) -clearly indicated in my profile and to the doctor verbally.
An especially frustrating lack of attention to detail which further prolonged my wait for any kind of meds at all. The Dr also ordered patch testing which I was told at checkout would be 3 appts and I would pay up front on a day 1 & the 2 other follow ups included as part of the procedure. 2 full days later Christian (checkout) called back rudely and dismissively said he was wrong and I would owe copays for all 3 appts.
Skip this place if you value your time & sanity.
