Dr. Sood was great. She was patient and thorough. The only "con" (not really a con) was that there were a few things I had to ask to clarify as I didn't understand the medical terms or the implications of what she was saying. The team at Village Eyecare were all extremely friendly and helpful. It is a pleasant atmosphere. The space is split between exam area and the glasses sales floor. The exam area feels a little bit tight and cramped, but I didn't feel like I was claustrophobic. The glasses sales floor area was open and bright and very comfortable.
It was a bit busy in the office, but didn't seem to affect the quality of service. The entire staff was kind and helpful. I had an issue with the new contact RX strength. I called to let them know I wanted a weaker Rx after ordering them. They said they'd change the order and give me a trial just to be sure I liked them before I opened up the new contacts (they aren't returnable after you open the box). As long as that works out, which I have no reason to doubt, I will be back for glasses!

I recently moved to Chicago from Toronto and needed to find an optometrist. The location was great and the Wabash office is very nice and clean. The front staff were extremely welcoming and got me started on paperwork as I was a new patient. My visit with Dr. Sood went very well. She has a great way of making you feel comfortable and allowed me to ask questions or if I had concerns. After my visit, I was really impressed that the optrican had actually grabbed a couple of glasses that she thought I might like when I finished up with my appointment. As the American health care system is quite different from the Canadian system, they were clear with what my coverage gave me. Highly recommend!
