The doctor was ok not very sympathetic to the fact I had bald spots and he basically told me there’s nothing that could be done, he didn’t take a moment to look at my spots and see if my hair follicles we’re still there or not barely even looked at my scalp.. was not even a real check or thorough observation.

This Doctor KNOWS a lot, he’s knowledgeable but his manners are very bad !!!
He entered the room, what do we have.. grabbed my son’s hands and feet.. said he’s not “impressed” and was going to leave the room. Mind you I took him because of some red spots on his body..
not for something on his hands.
I said, Excuuuse me ? You haven’t even checked him.
He barely lets you talk.. and he barely made eye contact with me.
I would never recommend him, Horrible experience.
If he is so bored, retire !

I was really excited to go to this dermatologist because of all the positive reviews. I had a skin care emergency and they were a 10 minute drive away. The dermatologist who treated me and the nurse were super nice and helpful. However, the people working at the front desk were super unprofessional and one of them kept cursing and obviously did not want to be there. I made my appointment for 1:30pm and I filled out my info on Zocdoc in order to get through faster at the office because I really wanted to take care of the problem ASAP. I informed the front desk lady that I made my appointment through Zocdoc and that I already filled out all the medical forms and she gave me the same forms again to fill out. I waited for well over an hour and a half to get through and had to watch people who came after me who were friends or family with the lady at the front desk go in and leave before I was even seen. If it wasn’t such a time sensitive matter I would not have been as agitated as I was. I loved how efficient and thorough the dermatologist was and if I could just recommend the office solely on that I would however, the front desk experience really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Though this doctor knew his stuff, he clearly couldn't maintain his judgement and bedside manner. I wish the doctor was slightly less judgmental and providing lectures that were not asked for. I also wish this doctor spent less time with pharmaceutical/derma- procedural representatives while there are patients filling up his waiting room.

He insisted on talking politics more than the problem I saw him for. He kept the exam room door open while treating me. I've been treated for the same issue by other dermatologists in the past, each of which was professional and treated my issue very skillfully. Westfried seemed to treat it with very little care or attention.
