He continued his education at the Yale University of Medicine and the completed his residency in Internal Medicine at New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Rubin followed his residency with a fellowship at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical center for Gastroenterology.

The staff is terrible and although the Dr is kind and listens, overall I would not recommend this at all.
Note that I’ve had endoscopes with them and visited them multiple occasions so I think at this point I have a really good sense of who they are and what they provide.

I had some anxiety going to Dr. Rubin's office today. I'm 86 years old and have been treated for some serious (non-gastrointestinal) health problems over the past two years. So my thoughts were along the lines of "Oh no, weren't a stroke and lymphoma enough? Now what've I got?"
First of all, he greeted me with a warm hello and it was clear that he remembered me even though I hadn't seen him for six years. Then he listened intently to what my concerns were, asked questions, and checked my recent labs and scans. By the time he finished the physical part of the exam, I felt confident that he had gathered all the information he needed to make a diagnosis and propose a treatment plan. Also, he took the time to explain to me how he reached his conclusions. His calm, respectful professionalism completely allayed my fears.
As we left the office, I said to my wife, "I feel better already."

The visit was excellent and the doctor was incredibly informative and had a great bedside manner. He was smart and engaged and put me at ease.
Thankfully, I waited to see him. However, his front office receptionist was so rude that i literally almost walked out before the appointment began.
If you can withstand the rude receptionist, I high;y recommend Doctor Rubin.

On the top of all, he is a very friendly and warm person who will make you feeling relaxed despite of your personal worries regarding the possible health issues or the procedure itself... I came to Dr. Rubin with a slightly embarrassing problem, which only got worse due to my fear and embarrassment in discussing it.
After 2 minutes with him, I felt completely safe to talk openly about anything. He was nice and pleasant and made me feel safe.
What's more, he was also spot on with his assessment and recommended a course of action I'm looking forward to start (and finish).
