Dr. Schiller and the resident were cordial and engaging with my child, asking probing questions to get to the heart of the matter. He quickly determined a course of action and we were out the door in a pinch. Very satisfying visit. Thank you.

Dr. Myles Schiller is a Pediatric Cardiologist and attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, specializing in Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiology. Dr. Schiller oversees CHAM's pediatric exercise physiology program, using sophisticated sensory equipment to measure your child's heart and metabolic functions when conducting exercise stress tests. The data gathered and analyzed by Dr. Schiller helps CHAM cardiologists and cardiac surgeons make informed decisions about catheter intervention, surgery, heart transplant and medical therapy. Before being recruited to CHAM, Dr. Schiller was Chief of Pediatric Cardiology at St. Barnabas Hospital, New York City and continues to serve in this position. In addition to his work in exercise physiology, Dr. Schiller manages a large following of young patients with congenital heart disease.
Dr. Schiller enjoys working with children and is continuously amazed by their resiliency. "Children who have open heart surgery make dramatic recoveries," remarks Dr. Schiller. "We operate on kids and three or four days later they're up and running around." For Dr. Schiller, the most satisfying aspect of his work is the knowledge that his expertise offers very sick children a brighter future. "It's a great feeling to perform a procedure and think, 'I wonder what this child will be like in 50 years or 70 years.'"
