Dr. Paul Lovero was born and raised in Sugar Land, and is thrilled to open an office in Montrose, which has been called “The Heart of Houston.” He earned both his undergraduate and Doctorate of Optometry degree at the University of Houston, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. GO COOGS!
Dr. Lovero is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. He is certified to diagnose and medically treat patients with eye diseases such as dry eyes, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and more. He is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Family Practice Clinic at his Alma mater, University of Houston College of Optometry.
Dr. Lovero is a travel enthusiast and is dedicated to community service and humanitarian efforts. He volunteers on the New Grad Task Force for the Texas Optometric Association and mentors new graduates. He is also a proud member of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity and recently traveled to Chinandega, Nicaragua, where they provided vision care and prescription eyeglasses for over 1300 patients.
During his free time, Dr. Paul Lovero likes to spend time with his fiancé and their 2 dogs, Milo and Coco. He is an avid yogi, runner, and cyclist and is excited that Montrose Eye Care is conveniently located within walking distance Buffalo Bayou Park where he can enjoy the skyline views of Houston, artwork, dog-park, hike and bike trails.

This office is chic AF. I didn't feel like I was in an office at all -- more like a high-end salon or something. Dr. Lovero was kind and quick and we had a great chat. No wait in the waiting room and filling out the forms on ZocDoc ahead of time meant I didn't need to spend a bunch of time on paperwork, just a couple signatures. All the equipment seemed nice and new and clean. All around great vibes. So excited I found this new eye doc in this excellent location.
